About

Kathrin Coleman is a Senior Litigation Solicitor at Coleman Legal LLP. She is a specialist in the areas of clinical litigation and personal injury law, including sexual assault and historical abuse, general professional negligence, defamation and employment law.

Experience

Kathrin has accumulated a wealth of experience in most areas of High Court Litigation. She runs a busy private client litigation desk and has successfully litigated against large organisations, including the state and major religious institutions. She has also successfully represented clients in some of the most significant jury awards in Irish legal history and would regularly act for individuals and families during inquests or inquiries.

Recent Cases

Kathrin is currently involved in a significant multi-party action in relation to a product liability claim regarding defective vaginal mesh implants. She also acts for individuals who have suffered loss as a consequence of the advice or actions of others. Kathrin also advises many families on their rights regarding the standard of care required in preschool childcare services such as crèches, Montessori groups and Playschool facilities.

Education

Kathrin began her career with Lavelle Coleman in 1999. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2003 with an Honours Masters Degree in English Literature and French with a further Honours post-graduate business qualification from the Smurfit Business School in 2004.

As a dual citizen of Ireland and Germany, Kathrin is also a bi-lingual German speaker with a qualification in Legal German. She is also fluent in French and admitted to the solicitor role in England and Wales. Kathrin is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association.
