About Philip Treacy

Philip Treacy is a qualified solicitor with over 14 years of legal experience in the legal profession. In April 2019, Philip joined Coleman Legal where he is a member of the highly experienced Litigation team, with a combined team experience of well over one hundred years of practice.

Experience

Philip has represented many clients of our Firm and recently has achieved successful settlements for workplace injury cases, fatal injury claims, road traffic accidents, and historical clerical school sexual abuse claims. Most recently, Philip has also successfully made applications on behalf of clients to the State Ex-Gratia scheme for victims of historical day school abuse. Philip also represents Employees in Work-related cases to the Workplace Relations Commission.

Before joining our Firm in 2019, Philip managed his own general Law Practice and he has brought to us the benefit of a wide range of post-qualification experience.

Cases

Philip Treacy has successfully settled workplace injury cases, road traffic accidents, school sexual abuse claims, and have also successfully made an application to the State Ex-Gratia scheme for 4 victims of day school abuse.

Philip continues to work on Medical negligence claims, dental negligence claims, workplace physical injury claims, workplace sexual assault claims, as well as historical childhood sexual abuse claims.

Education

In addition to his legal professional qualifications, Philip also has a 2.1 Honours Degree in Accounting and Human Resource Management, coupled with a wide range of business and commercial experience. Philip Treacy has also worked in the past as a volunteer for FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centre) for 8 years, offering legal advice to many people on various different and complex legal matters.
