About

Susan Hannon joined Coleman Legal LLP in January 2021 as Head of Legal Services. Her role is to oversee all legal services provided by the firm and ensure they are delivered at the highest possible quality and service standards. She works closely with all teams across the firm.

Experience

Prior to joining Coleman Legal LLP, Susan Hannon had worked for over 15 years in the Insurance Industry as a Claims Professional, specialising in Casualty Claims in the transport, construction, SME, agribusiness and farming sectors.

Education

Susan holds a BCL (Hons) from University College Dublin, a Barrister-at-Law degree from the Honourable Society of King’s Inns, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from Dublin Institute of Technology (now TU Dublin), a Diploma in Arbitration from University College Dublin, and is a Certified Insurance Practitioner with the Insurance Institute of Ireland.

Recent Work

A man has failed in his bid to prevent his sister from pursuing a sexual abuse civil claim for damages over allegations of sexual abuse and rape committed against.

It has now come to light that a Christian brother who sexually assaulted seven boys while teaching at Kilkenny School over 40 years ago had also sexually abused an additional 22 boys.

John McClean, a former rugby coach at Terenure College who is currently serving prison time for sexually abusing 45 boys, has been found guilty of abusing four more youths.
