Norman Spicer is a Senior Solicitor at Coleman Legal LLP with extensive knowledge and experience in multi-party actions, civil litigation, sexual abuse, and human rights law.

Experience

Norman has practised in the area of civil and personal litigation since 2013. Starting his legal career in New York as an attorney, Norman gained extensive experience as a litigator at home and abroad. Having had a military career that spanned 12 years of service, Norman has also brought his expertise into his role at Coleman Legal, where he works on several high-profile multi-party cases. Norman heads up claims arising out of the administration of lariam, illegal Adoption cases, scouting Ireland – sexual abuse, and the mother and baby homes. Norman takes a client-centred approach to his work and prides himself on his ability to communicate effectively with his clients in what are often difficult circumstances.

Cases

Norman is involved with a number of high-profile cases, including, among others, lariam, illegal adoption cases, scouting sexual abuse and the mother and baby homes. Norman hopes to be able to assist applicants of the mother and baby home’s redress scheme now and into 2022 when the scheme is due to open.

Education

Norman graduated from Dublin Business School, where he obtained an Honours Degree in Irish Law, and also from UCD, where he completed his Master’s Degree in International Commercial Law in 2017.
